Preparing organizations and individuals for natural disasters since 2005

Food & Water

During an emergency, water may be the single most important thing to have for survival.  A human being cannot go more than a few days without experiencing severe dehydration as the body is more than 60% water.  Food is also essential although it is possible to go up to three weeks without eating but that is based on several factors and not something we would want to test.  In preparing for a disaster, choose water and food that has a long shelf-life so that you don't constantly have to worry about checking the dates and rotating the stock.  Today, many products come with extremely long shelf lives from 5 to 50 years.  More Prepared offers a variety of different types of water as well as foods in bars, freeze-dried or organic staples.  Choose what works best for you.
